Frequently Asked Questions
What are the duties of an IES reviewer?
The IEEE Industrial Electronics Conference is committed to provide a
high level of scientific and technical quality in all the conferences and
workshops that it organizes or co-sponsors. This can only be achieved by
carefully reviewing each submitted paper by several independent researchers.
The people that volunteer for reviewing one or more papers for an
IES conference will have to express their opinion about the scientific
quality, novelty and soundness of one or more papers in their area of
expertise.
How much is paid to an IES reviewer?
Reviewing one or more papers for an IES conference is an entirely
volunteer work, and this is not paid, as the rest of volunteer work for
IES or IEEE. Nevertheless, probably your work as a reviewer will be valued
in academia.
How can I volunteer as an IES reviewer?
If you have received an email message asking you to become a
reviewer, just login on this site with the address and password that were
sent to you.
If you haven't received such a message, please contact with the
organizing committee of the conference that you would like to volunteer for.
How many papers will be sent to me for review?
Conference organizers do know that volunteers have other tasks to do
and that their time is very valuable, and thus Conference Organizers and
Track Chairs will do their best to keep the number of papers to the minimum
necessary.
